Fishery Rules

Our Rules


To protect our guests and the fishery

All guests must have read, understood and agreed to the rules prior arrival.

Failure to observe the rules may result in the offender being asked to leave the fishery.

Please do not be offended should spot checks for compliance be carried out by the bailiff during your stay.

Fishery Rules

  • Please note that the lake can be weedy at different times of the year. It is essential that you are physically able to use a rowboat. Fish and/or rigs may require retrieving from the boat due to weed. Bullying fish through weed or pulling for a break is not allowed. The bailiff should be contacted if any assistance is required. 

  • Arrival after 1 pm – No entry will be allowed prior. Departure latest by 10 am.

  • Parking at the swims is permitted only for unloading and loading between the hours of 8 am to 4 pm on Saturdays.

  • There is EUR 50 refundable deposit per person for mandatory use of ÉTANG DES DEUX PIERRES landing nets, weigh slings, weigh tripod and unhooking mats (scales not included).

  • The cost for non-anglers is EUR 100 per person per week and must be informed and agreed prior to booking. This is only applicable should the group exceed 8 members in the party.

  • All landing nets will be provided by ÉTANG DES DEUX PIERRES as per deposit note above.

  • The Magic Twig / Wand andor any self-hooking elasticated systems are not allowed.

  • No braided main line (except on marker or spod rods).

  • No lead core.

  • No zig rigs, surface fishing or free-lining.

  • No fixed leads. All leads should be able to release on the take.

  • 18 lbs minimum breaking strain line.

  • Micro-barbed hooks only.

  • Carp care kits and unhooking forceps are mandatory.

  • Max. 3 rods and min. 2 landing nets per person.

  • No rods to be left unattended whilst lines are in the water.

  • Only ÉTANG DES DEUX PIERRES pellets allowed.

  • No nuts, particles, maggots, plastic baits or shelf-life boilies (Freezer bait only). Worms and casters are allowed between the months of November to February only.

  • No dumping of bait in the lake before you leave.

  • Handling of fish (whether in the water or on land) is to be carried out over the use of unhooking mats only.

  • All fish to be photographed in the water (waders are recommended).

  • Retaining fish is prohibited unless waiting for the bailiff (when waiting for the bailiff, the fish may be retained for a maximum duration of 30 minutes).

  • All fish over 60 lbs are to be reported to the bailiff prior to release.

  • Please inform the bailiff for assistance, should any fish be snagged, damaged or show any signs of disease.

  • Life Jackets are mandatory when using boats. For your own safety, do not wear any clothing items that can hinder the buoyancy of the life jackets and restrict swimming (such as waders, boots and heavy material clothing).

  • Pets are not allowed.

  • Please leave the shower and toilets clean and tidy after use.

  • The kitchen facilities are for the bailiff's use only.

  • Alcohol is allowed. However, we do not sell it on site. Drugs and heavy drinking will not be tolerated.

  • Fires are not allowed.

  • Rubbish is to be disposed of as directed by the bailiff upon arrival.

  • Used flammable containers (i.e. gas canisters) are to be taken home by the guests.

  • Please ensure you lock the gate behind you when entering and leaving the fishery.

  • No children fishing under the age of 16 years old.

  • Your completed booking form or email enquiry must include all persons traveling (non anglers included).

  • A non-refundable deposit of Euro 800 per booking must be paid within two weeks to secure your booking.

  • Once ÉTANG DES DEUX PIERRES has received your deposit, your holiday is considered reserved for you and your party.

  • The balance is to be paid no later than 10 weeks before your arrival date. If a booking is placed 10 weeks prior to your arrival date, the total cost of your holiday must be paid in full at the time of booking.

  • If full payment is not received 10 weeks prior to the arrival date, ÉTANG DES DEUX PIERRES reserves the right to cancel your booking. Deposits will not be refunded.

  • If you wish to cancel your confirmed booking, it will only be accepted in written form from the group organiser and the following charges will apply: Cancellation 10 weeks or more prior arrival date, cancellation fee = deposit only. Cancellation 6-10 weeks prior arrival date, cancellation fee = 50% of the total cost of booking. Cancellation less than 6 weeks prior arrival date, cancellation fee = full cost of booking.

  • Bookings are non-transferable to any 3rd party without prior agreement.

  • You are advised to arrange travel insurance including medical costs, personal belongings, personal injury, public liability and death as these are not covered by our insurance.

  • All travel arrangements are your responsibility. We accept no liability for delays or cancellations in ferries or in case there are irregularities in your travel documents.

  • Force Majeure: We will not be held liable for any impact to your holiday caused by any of the following: Strikes, Political Unrest, Riots, Port Closures, War or Threat of, Terrorist Activity, Industrial Disputes, Fire, Flood, Technical and Weather problems to transportation, Acts of God or any other event(s) beyond our control.

  • COVID / PANDEMIC – ÉTANG DES DEUX PIERRES will discuss and work with existing bookings to accommodate a change in the scheduled date should the boarders be closed to traveling parties. Should the boarders be open or open with government rules/requirements in place, bookings are to be honored by the group, with no refund or change to dates available.

  • Pets are not allowed on the compound.

  • All and any damages caused to ÉTANG DES DEUX PIERRES property/equipment will be backcharged to you.

  • We reserve the right to terminate your vacation if you are in any way causing a disturbance or harm to other anglers, the public, the facilities, the compound, the fish, the lake or any other part of the ÉTANG DES DEUX PIERRES property. You will not be liable to a refund or compensation.

  • All persons must have read, understood and agreed to the Fishery Rules available on our website prior arrival. Failure to observe the Fishery Rules may result in the offender being asked to leave the fishery.

  • The fishery accepts no responsibility for injury, death, loss, damage or theft to persons, cars or equipment whilst on the complex. Guests are responsible for their property and their own safety at all times. All members of the group will need to sign a Waiver of Liability upon arrival.

  • In the unlikely event of a complaint by you or one of your party, please advise us on the day of complaint so we can evaluate and take action before the end of your trip.

  • Payment of deposits is deemed to be acceptance of the Fishery Rules and Terms and Conditions by all group booking members.
